Success Story – Jess Fedderson, Travel Agent

Jess Fedderson joined VirtForce in Fall 2018. She was working as an Executive Administrator for a Real Estate Group on site, but I wanted to step into the remote world to develop a career that could transition with her. Jess found her new gig on a post through VirtForce after casually looking for some time. She explains, “I wasn’t in an immediate rush, but always kept my eyes on the page to see what opportunities were out there and knew the right one would come along at some point. I like to remind myself that patience is a virtue.”

Jess applied to a position with Central Point Travel – Dream Vacations, to be a Travel Agent. She accepted the position and completed her training program in January. Now, she gets to help her friends and network plan dream vacations. She still works on-site at her day job, but she is steadily building her Travel Agency clients and experience. She is taking her time in making the transition into virtual work which is a great approach.

We asked Jess what her best advice is to VirtForce members seeking virtual work. Here’s what she had to say, “My best advice is to be driven and find what differentiates you from the rest of the workforce. Remote work is out there, but there are so many people that would love to be remote. It takes dedication to not only be a self-starter but to also remain consistent in doing so.”
On an average weekend, you can find Jess traveling, playing Volleyball or playing with her puppies.
